LAST TIME OUT
Jill Roord returned from injury in our last outing as we beat Brighton 1-0 at the Joie Stadium.
After rupturing her ACL in a win over Manchester United, the Netherlands international was kept from action for eight months before entering the match in the second half against the Seagulls.
That was after Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw had broken the deadlock before the interval when tapping Kerstin Casparij’s pinpoint cross into the net.
The Jamaican’s first goal of the season was enough for us to collect our first league win of the season.
PREVIOUS MEETING
We recorded a 5-0 win over West Ham the last time we faced the Londoners which represented a record-breaking 13th straight WSL win at the time.
Goals from Leila Ouahabi and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw gave the hosts the perfect start inside four minutes, and we continued to turn the screw despite our early advantage.
The Jamaican then bagged her brace before the interval which represented her 50th WSL goal in 57 appearances.
Laura Blindkilde Brown then extended our lead late on with her first for City before Jess Park added a fifth which, preciously, boosted our goal difference to +42 with three matches in 2023/24 remaining.
