Six members of Gareth Taylor’s squad are out in Abu Dhabi on a warm weather training camp during the current international break.
Keeping sharp with daily sessions, Demi Stokes, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Laura Coombs, Leila Ouahabi, Steph Houghton and Tara O’Hanlon are being put through their paces this week at the Zayed Sports Centre.
With City in a strong position to mount a Barclays Women’s Super League title challenge in the latter part of the season, the players have been hard at work to make sure they return to the City Football Academy in peak condition ahead of our first fixture back against Everton.

But with temperatures in the high 20s, they’d each be forgiven for enjoying some well-deserved rest by the pool during their time away from the pitch.
However, some of the team decided to make the most of the warm weather by having a quick kickabout on the beaches adjacent to Abu Dhabi’s Bab Al Qasr hotel.
