Manchester City’s Barclays Women’s Super League trip to Liverpool will be played at Anfield.

Gareth Taylor’s side’s visit to Matt Beard’s represents our second away league fixture of the 2024/25 term after we learned out full schedule in July.

The match is scheduled to take place on Sunday 13 October at 14:00 (UK) – but the match’s date and time are yet to be confirmed and will be played at the over 60,000 capacity arena.

Last season, City beat Liverpool three times in all competitions including twice away from home in respective Continental Cup and WSL fixtures.

Our first trip to Merseyside in 2023/24 saw Taylor’s team record an entertaining 4-3 victory in the League Cup group stages thanks to goals from Filippa Angeldahl, Jess Park and Chloe Kelly (two).

We then beat Liverpool 5-1 in the WSL at the Joie Stadium before securing a fine 4-1 win the reverse fixture at Prenton Park.

On that occasion, first-half goals from Lauren Hemp and Jess Park was followed by a Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw rocket into the top corner from 25-yards ahead of the interval.

The Jamaican then headed home after the break before the hosts pulled a goal back late on.

Meanwhile, tickets to our opening five WSL home matches are now on sale – including the first of three fixtures to be played at the Etihad Stadium.
