Everything you need to know ahead of the 2022/23 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup Quarter-Final draw.

City will discover our prospective opponents on Tuesday 20 December at approximately 17:00pm (UK), with the draw being broadcast live on talkSPORT 2.

Gareth Taylor’s side have all-but qualified for the last-eight after fine victories over Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland and Liverpool lifted us to top spot in Group B with a game to play.

City and Liverpool both have nine points but our superior goal difference to the Merseyside club means we head the rankings with Matt Bear’s side having played all their games.

A point in our final group match with Leicester City will guarantee our progression.

But with City sitting six points above the Foxes, and boasting a distinctly higher goal difference, it means the East Midlands side will need to beat Taylor’s team and win their final group game while producing a 12-goal swing in their favour to top the table.

The tie was scheduled to be played on Saturday 17 December, but due to freezing conditions at the Pirelli Stadium, the fixture alongside several other League Cup ties was postponed.

We entered the 2022/23 competition as reigning champions following our 3-1 victory over Chelsea at Plough Lane last term.

The success in London raised our haul of Conti Cups to four, after successes in 2014, 2016 and 2019.
