Ouahabi was one of seven signings in 2022 pre-season as Gareth Taylor reconstructed his squad before the start of the campaign.
Since then, she’s made 10 appearances for the Club, producing classy displays at left-back.
Leaving her homeland for the first time in a 13-year career, which included spells at the Catalan giants and Valencia, may have seemed a daunting task.
But thanks to our strong Spanish contingent, Ouahabi revealed she’s seamlessly transitioned into life in Manchester.
“The truth is that [I’ve settled] very well,” she explained.
“It seems to me a city with a great atmosphere, it has a lot of vibes, it seems very cool to me, I like it. I like it a lot.
“On our days off, I go to brunch with Vicky [Losada] and Laia [Aleixandri] . There are very good places and cafes, I’m really enjoying it. The city is small and cosy.”
Throughout her short time at City so far, there have already been several memorable moments for Ouahabi.
After a tricky start to the term, where our performance didn’t get the results they warranted, we embarked on a tremendous 10-game unbeaten run which included nine consecutive victories.
The formidable set of results saw us climb within touching distance of the league’s top three and start our defence of the Conti Cup in perfect fashion.
And the left-back believes Taylor’s side are getting stronger with each passing day.
“Day after day we’ve been better. Right now, the team is in a very good dynamic, and I think that we are getting better every day,” said Ouahabi.
“I think the team is starting to come together, getting to know each other well and playing a style of football that we already know and that we like.”
After recording nine wins in a row, we battled back from a goal down to draw with Manchester United and continue our unbeaten streak.
There was more than one reason to be buoyed after the derby fightback, as the Barclays Women’s Super League fixture was played in front of a Club record crowd of 44,259 at the Etihad Stadium.
For Ouahabi, the immense attendance shows how fast the women’s game is growing.
She added: “Yes, these are figures that make you realize that people are involved, that people are excited to come to the stadium, to come to support us and to see us.
“It’s something that will help women’s football grow and shows that things are being done very well here.”
