Over 4,000 tickets have been snapped up for Manchester City's Barclays Women's Super League clash with Chelsea.

Gareth Taylor‘s side welcome the Blues to the Academy Stadium on Sunday 26 March, with kick-off set for 14:00 (UK).

The sides are separated by just two points in the WSL as the 2022/23 title race begins to take shape.

The visitors boast the best attack in the division, but City are unbeaten on home soil across the entire campaign and claimed a crucial 2-1 win over Arsenal before the international break.

Over 4,500 supporters were at the Academy Stadium to watch Gareth Taylor‘s side pick up a deserved three points, and a similarly impressive crowd is expected for Chelsea’s visit.

There have been some intriguing showdowns between the two sides in recent years, including meetings in both domestic cup finals last year.

Earlier this season it was Chelsea who came out on top with a 2-0 win at Kingsmeadow in September, but City have embarked on an 11-match unbeaten run in the WSL since that encounter.

Everything points towards another must-watch clash and, with over 4,000 tickets already snapped up, it will be an atmosphere befitting the grand occasion.
