The hard work continued at the City Football Academy on Friday ahead of our trip to Everton Women at the weekend.

Gareth Taylor’s side were straight back on the grass following the last international break, where three points against the Toffees in the Barclays Women’s Super League would see us close the gap on rivals Manchester United above us.

A number of our squad were away with their respective countries in the latest break, with City stars Chloe Kelly and Jess Park scoring in England’s 4-0 win over Japan.

Mary Fowler found the net as Australia beat Sweden 4-0, with Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Deyna Castellanos also notching for Jamacia and Venezuela respectively.

It was another wet day in Manchester but the weather did not dampen the squad’s spirits, as we look to build on our five-game winning run in all competitions.
