There were plenty of smiles on show at the City Football Academy following our 3-1 victory at Old Trafford.
Goals from Jill Roord, Lauren Hemp and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw earned Gareth Taylor‘s side a deserved triumph in the WSL, moving us up to third in the process.
But it’s a quick turnaround for City, with a Continental Cup clash against Leicester on the horizon this Wednesday.

Kick-off at the Joie Stadium is set for 19:00 (UK), with the match being shown live on CITY+.
Having won each of our first two matches in Group B against Everton and Liverpool, Gareth Taylor‘s side know maintaining that 100% record will help us take a huge step towards the knockout stages.
It’s a busy schedule, but the players were out on the CFA pitch sharpening up for that clash with a spring in our step having earned the local bragging rights on Sunday.
