Gareth Taylor and his side were back to work at the CFA amid the Barclays Women’s Super League winter hiatus.
And spirits were certainly high within the camp as our players enjoyed the company of their team-mates for the first time in over three weeks.
There were plenty of reasons to be positive during the first half of the 2022/23 campaign, as we put early season disappointment behind us to embark on a formidable run up to the festival interval.
Starting with a resounding win over Leicester City, we recorded a nine-game winning streak - which strengthened our league position and gave us the perfect start in the Continental Cup.
We then extended our unbeaten run to 10 games in an enthralling 1-1 draw with Manchester United in front of a Club record crowd for a women’s match.
The hard work certainly continued in our first session back as we eye a strong second half to the season - with a trip to West Ham on Sunday 15 January (18:45pm UK) our first fixture back.
