Manchester City face a trip to Aston Villa in the quarter-finals of the Women's FA Cup.

The Villans currently sit fifth in the Barclays Women’s Super League, two places below Gareth Taylor‘s side.

We have already faced them twice in 2022/23, with Carla Ward’s team getting the better of us on the opening day of the season before a 1-1 draw at the Academy Stadium last month.

The draw was conducted on BBC One’s the One Show by former England defender Gilly Flaherty and singer and presenter Ronan Keating.

City’s FA Cup campaign began with a 7-0 win over Sheffield United at the Academy Stadium in January 2022.

And we earned our place in the last eight following an emphatic 8-1 triumph over Bristol City at the Robins High Performance Centre.

Four goals from Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, a Julie Blakstad brace, Filippa Angeldahl wondergoal and first senior goal from Jemima Dahou secured passage.

Villa, meanwhile, have beaten AFC Fylde and West Ham to gain passage to the last eight.

Beaten finalists in May 2022, City have made the quarter-finals for a tenth consecutive seasons, while we have also reached the last four in each of the past eight years.

The quarter-final ties are set to be played on Sunday 19 March. Keep across mancity.com and the official Man City app for details on the fixture.
