Women's football is in the spotlight once more as the world's best nations compete at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Meanwhile, more than 5,800 miles away - back home in Manchester - preparations have started for City’s new FA Women’s Super League season.

Our City stars who are not overseas have kicked-off pre-season planning with training under way at the City Football Academy.

There were some new and familiar faces as summer recruit Ruby Mace settled into life in City blue, while England international Alex Greenwood, midfielder Laura Coombs, youngster Jess Park and lifelong City fan Esme Morgan dusted off the cobwebs.
