The details for City’s Subway League Cup quarter-final trip to Manchester United have been confirmed.

Due to our Champions League participation this year, Gareth Taylor’s side will enter at the last-eight stage and were paired with our cross-city rivals in December’s draw.

And the Blues will travel to Marc Skinner’s side on Wednesday 22 January, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 (UK).

The Blues are aiming to win the major honour for the fifth time, having lifted the trophy in 2014, 2016, 2019 and 2022.

Our last triumph in the Subway League Cup saw us beat Chelsea 3-1 in March 2022 when goals from Caroline Weir (two) and Ellen White helped us come from behind to prevail.

The Blues have reached the semi-final stage in each of the last two seasons and exited at the last-four stage in 2023/24 following a narrow defeat to Chelsea.

If City are to secure passage into the semi-finals, we will face the winner of Arsenal v Brighton across 5/6 February.
