Gareth Taylor’s side still travel to the Leigh Sports Village on Sunday 21 May, but kick-off has now been scheduled for 18:45 (UK).
The fixture will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports.
With four matches remaining of the campaign, City and United are separated by just three points at the WSL summit.
And with both Chelsea and Arsenal also in contention for the crown, it promises to be a thrilling end to the 2022/23 campaign.
Indeed, the league’s top four sides all lock horns on the penultimate weekend of the season, with the Gunners’ visit to Kingsmeadow getting under way at 12:30 (UK) on BBC Two, before City and United’s clash.
The previous WSL derby took place in December 2022, when over 44,000 supporters witnessed an exciting 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium.
Leah Galton handed the visitors a half-time lead, but Taylor’s side responded after the break when Laura Coombs headed home Chloe Kelly’s cross to earn a share of the spoils.
