Jess Park has been voted March’s Joie Player of the Month.

As City extended our winning Barclays Women’s Super League streak to 12 straight matches, the England international enjoyed a strong month with three goals and two assists in the league.

Following Gareth Taylor’s side’s 2-1 victory over Everton at the Joie Stadium, we suffered narrow cup defeats to Chelsea then Spurs.

However, Park helped us bounce back perfectly with an assist to Lauren Hemp‘s opener in a superb 4-1 win away at Brighton in West Sussex.

Buoyed by her performance against the Seagulls, she then starred in front of 40,000 supporters at the Etihad Stadium by scoring twice in our 3-1 win over Manchester United.

The 22-year-old then turned provider shortly after half-time when she regained possession and slid the ball into Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s path who coolly slotted past Mary Earps.

Her fine form continued in our final WSL outing in March when she scored our second of four goals away at Liverpool in a 4-1 success at Prenton Park.

It represents Park’s first Joie Player of the Month award who came out on top against Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp in a three-player shortlist.

And it caps off a wonderful month for the versatile midfielder who was also named WSL Player of the Month for March.

Congratulations to Jess on her latest accolade – and thank you to everyone who voted!
