City are battling on three fronts this season with trophies still possible in the Barclays Women’s Super League, FA Cup and Continental Cup.
While there is serious competition for places to make the starting XI, Fowler believes everyone is willing to play their role for the benefit of the group.

Since joining in 2022, creative attacker Fowler has competed with the likes of Lauren Hemp, Chloe Kelly and Jill Roord for a spot in the side.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Official Man City Podcast, Fowler believes the harmony within the camp is helping push us on this season.
“It’s a hard dynamic to get right. We’re not players with big egos that put ourselves ahead of the team,” she said.
“Everyone here is a team player and we want to win as a team. There’s no individual success over anyone else’s which is important to get because that affects how you play.
“It’s nice to get that because it hasn’t always been that way at previous places I have been.”
Fowler came to City as a 19-year-old having already amassed substantial international experience.
The Australian has only grown in status with the Matildas since moving to Manchester, helping them to a quarter-final at last summer’s World Cup.
After time in the Netherlands and France during her fledgling career, our No.8 says the jump in quality at City has helped her grow.
“This was an obvious next step,” said Fowler.
“The standard of training and everything in general was more professional.
“It’s more of an environment where you have to win and be at your best. That’s what I wanted to be in but I just hadn’t experienced that before.”
Fowler appeared centrally for much of her first term at City but has this season shifted largely out to the left wing.
Although there’s significant competition there in the shape of Hemp, Fowler believes the increased responsibility to create opportunities is bringing out the best in her.

“We tried it in pre-season and I really enjoyed it there,” she said.
“For our style of play, the wingers have a lot of attacking freedom.
“For the national team, I play as a 10 with that freedom but here we play with two so it’s already a bit different.
“Being on the left has been a nice change for me but it’s also helped me be a lot more confident on the field. I have space so I have to attack and go one-v-one.
“It’s been a bit of both where I have come back from the World Cup with a bit of momentum and confidence but I’m also in a position that’s not all about being safe.”
