We will play Leicester City at HBF Park in Perth on Wednesday 28 August, before a match against either West Ham United or Paris Saint-Germain a few days later.
It does represent our first pre-season tour abroad since 2019, when we were in the USA to play North Carolina Courage and Atletico Madrid before that campaign.

Before that, we also took in the sights of Oregon and Florida in 2018 after games in Germany and France 12 months prior.
Nick Cushing was City’s manager in those days, before Gareth Taylor succeeded him in 2020.
Cushing, now New York City’s boss, remembers exactly what these trips can provide for the team and the Club.
“It’s just a great opportunity, especially out in America,” he began.
“It was great exposure for the women’s team and for the younger players to see the culture out here and the standard of the games was excellent.”
If any of the younger players set for Australia need detailing as to the springboard a tour can give your career, Cushing’s example of a player who did just that will surely provide inspiration.
“We had a lot of young players in the team and I remember in 2019 Georgia Stanway had been in and out of the team in the sense of she was a developing player,” he said.
“But she showed in that pre-season when she played against Atletico Madrid and North Carolina Courage, top opposition, and she showed that she was ready to be someone who could play every week, make a real impact and be really important for the team.
“It was a really important pre-season for her.”
Now looking from afar, Cushing has enjoyed seeing how his former side have developed in recent years.
He believes one City signing in particular has the ability to take us to the next level.
“What City have done really well is recruit right,” said Cushing.
“Vivianne Miedema is a top player, proven in the WSL, a great signing to continue to build and grow the team.
“It was a really strong year last season and I’m sure Gareth will be really hungry to improve on the second place.”
