Three days into our pre-season tour of Western Australia, we were back at Football West’s training base for another workout on the pitch.
However, this time there were local girls teams in the stand to watch as Gareth Taylor prepares his team for next week’s Perth International Cup.

After we ran through drills and played a short 11-a-side match, the fans had the opportunity to meet the players, get selfies and swap friendship bracelets that have been made by the players since arriving in Australia.
Naturally, Matildas Mary Fowler and Alanna Kennedy were very popular with many of our star-studded squad of internationals also attracting plenty of attention.
After that, our trio of Japanese internationals on tour, Aoba Fujino, Yui Hasegawa and Ayaka Yamashita visited a local Japanese primary school.
