The central defender has penned an extension which will keep her at the Club until the summer of 2028.
A January signing from FC Rosengard, the German international seamlessly settled to life in Manchester with committed and brave performances from defence while also offering a goal threat in the final third.
Across her 16 appearances for the club so far, she’s scored five goals, including three in clashes with our cross-city rivals, Manchester United.

During her time with City, she has also risen to prominence on the international stage with Knaak making her senior Germany debut in February before playing every game for her nation at Euro 2025 as they reached the semi-final.
And after recovering from an injury sustained at the tournament, she’s returned to start each of four previous outings.
But outside of football, Knaak is also studying for a PhD in Sports Psychology, with reading an important part of her life away from the cut and thrust of the WSL.

After putting pen to paper on her new deal, she took part in her media duties with the club, including her official interview and a visit to her very own reading nook.
