Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Chloe Kelly have been shortlisted for January’s PFA WSL Fans’ Player of the Month prize.

The duo were at the centre of another impressive month for City, with our pursuit of the WSL title still in full swing thanks to an impressive 100% record across January.

Gareth Taylor’s side registered a 5-1 win at home to Liverpool in our first league match of 2024 and followed that up with a 2-0 triumph at Tottenham Hotspur one week later.

Shaw grabbed four goals across those two fixtures, beginning with a hat-trick against the Reds in an emphatic and deserved triumph.

She then followed that up with our second against Spurs at Brisbane Road, firing in at the near post after being sent through by Lauren Hemp on the counter.

Kelly, meanwhile, was a standout performer against Liverpool, helping herself to a goal and assist against Matt Beard’s side at the Joie Stadium.

The winger fired home City’s final strike from the penalty spot, having already set up Shaw with a pinpoint cross in the first half.

And while she didn’t add to her tally against Spurs, the England winger’s energy and creativity out wide was crucial in helping Taylor’s side over the line in London.

Our City duo face competition from Arsenal’s Caitlin Foord, Brighton’s Elisabeth Terland and Chelsea pair Erin Cuthbert and Lauren James for the award.

Good luck to Bunny and Chloe in the PFA WSL Fan’s Player of the Month vote
