The sixth instalment of the official Manchester City podcast has landed, and we’re joined by our decorated women’s captain Steph Houghton.

In each episode, hosts Rob Pollard and Nedum Onuoha are joined by a player, legend, coach, manager or celebrity fan to talk about the Club’s past and present.

Joining the duo so far has been Kyle Walker, Scott Carson, Owen Hargreaves, Brian Barry-Murphy and Laura Coombs.

And next up in the studio is our record women’s appearance holder and an original member of our squad, having been at the forefront of City’s success since our official relaunch in 2014.

Since arriving at the Academy Stadium, Houghton has led us to an incredible eight major honours – including the 2016 Barclays Women’s Super League title.

She’s now ready to write the next chapter in her illustrious career after agreeing to extend her contract until 2024 where the skipper will be hoping to continue her success in the upcoming season.

In the latest episode of the Manchester City podcast, the inspirational figure discusses a variety of topics such as what makes a stellar skipper, her time in the game so far, making her Sunderland debut at just 13 and much more!

All of that and more can be enjoyed by CITY+ and Recast subscribers!
