The best images from Steph Houghton’s City career after she announced her decision to retire at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

The centre-back joined the Club in January 2014 ahead of our inaugural season as a professional side in the Barclays Women’s Super League later that year.

It’s been an extraordinary ten years for our captain since then, seeing her spearhead our rise within the women’s game.

In total, she’s made 241 appearances in sky blue, scoring 21 times and lifting a staggering eight major honours.

This includes the 2016 league title, four Continental Cups and three FA Cups.

She will rightly go down as one of the Club’s most iconic figures and a true leader on and off the pitch.
