A member of our inaugural professional side back in 2014, the England international went on to make 75 appearances in all competitions for the Blues before joining FC Barcelona in 2017.
She later featured for Atletico Madrid before returning to Everton, where she’d initially began her career ahead of joining City.
The forward found the net 34 times during that three-year period at the Joie Stadium, with only Caroline Weir, Nikita Parris, Lauren Hemp, Georgia Stanway and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw able to better that tally to this day.
Duggan’s name will forever be written into our history though as our first-ever professional goalscorer, with her brace earning us a 2-1 FA Cup win over Reading in our maiden fixture since that 2014 relaunch.
She would finish top scorer in that first season where we placed fifth in our first WSL campaign and won the Continental Cup.
And Duggan would repeat the trick in both 2015 and the 2017 Spring Series before her move to Catalonia, where she won three trophies and reached the Champions League final in two seasons.
The forward claimed four major honours during her time at the Club and was on target in the 2-0 win over Chelsea which secured our first league title back in 2016.
Always capable of the spectacular, she became the first female player to win our 2015 Goal of the Season prize for another strike against Chelsea, with another notable goal coming against Brondby in the UEFA Women’s Champions League the following year.
Everyone at Manchester City would like to congratulate Toni on a fantastic career and wish her all the best for the future.
