Injury news
The boss didn’t reveal any fresh injury concerns during his pre-match press conference ahead of our trip to Spurs.
It means Steph Houghton, who could be out for a few weeks with an ankle injury, as well as our three deadline day signings are unavailable on Wednesday evening.
Laura Blindkilde Brown and Poppy Pritchard are both cup tied, while Tara O’Hanlon is nursing a minor complaint.
Gareth Taylor Preview
“We need to be ready for something different.
“I think Robert Vilahamn’s similar in my view on the game in keep working at the same thing and perfecting your Plan A, but we don’t know.
“It’s obviously a process... (but) I like that thinking, it’s good to have clarity for your players.”
LAST TIME OUT
City scored two phenomenal goals in our 2-0 Barclays Women’s Super League win over Leicester City.
Taylor’s side tested Leicester’s defensive line relentlessly as we dominated possession but couldn’t quite find the opening goal.
It took a sublime scorpion kick strike by Lauren Hemp to break the deadlock in the 82nd minute before Chloe Kelly doubled City’s lead three minutes later directly from a corner.
PREVIOUS MEETING
City travelled to Brisbane Road at the end of January for our WSL assignment which saw us travel back to Manchester with three points after a 2-0 win.
An Amy Turner own goal gave City the lead in the opening 45 minutes before Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw bagged her 10th goal against Spurs with a close range strike.
