Gareth Taylor‘s side come into the tie brimming with confidence having won three of our last four matches in all competitions, including successive triumphs over Durham and Leicester respectively.
Nonetheless, the players are under no illusions that we will need to be at our best to make it three in a row.
Emma Hayes’ side have won each of their last five WSL matches since an opening day defeat to Arsenal, and recently ended our hopes of retaining the FA Cup for a third successive year with a semi-final victory at the Academy Stadium.
But City will be desperate to put things right following that setback, and training hit a typically high intensity as we aim to come away from Sunday’s clash with a statement victory.

There were also plenty of smiles on show at the City Football Academy to accompany that focus, with the players clearly relishing the chance to get back out there after a deserved 4-1 victory over Leicester in our last outing.
