Andrée Jeglertz’s side recorded a second 3-0 win over rivals Manchester United this season, with the latest coming at Old Trafford.
There was a major boost for City before kick-off, with all three of Ayaka Yamashita, Yui Hasegawa and Aoba Fujino going into the starting line-up after winning the Asian Cup with Japan last weekend over in Australia.
Their presence and impact were immediately felt on the pitch as City dominated from kick-off, and a Vivianne Miedema first half brace saw us take a commanding lead into the break.
Despite United coming out a bit brighter in the second half, a Kerstin Casparij tap-in at the back post put the game to bed after a devastating City counter-attack that saw Lauren Hemp pick out the Dutch international.
That win at Old Trafford sees us move onto 49 points after winning our 16th game of the season, and now just five points away from claiming the WSL title.
