Vivianne Miedema will wear the No.6 shirt for Manchester City.

The Dutch forward has joined City on a three-year deal after leaving Arsenal following the completion of the 2023/24 season.

Miedema is the record goalscorer in Barclays Women’s Super League history, netting 80 times since the competition’s inception.

She will now join Gareth Taylor’s exciting title-chasing squad, linking up with the likes of Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Lauren Hemp, Mary Fowler and Jill Roord in attacking areas.

The 27-year-old will don the No.6 previously worn by club captain Steph Houghton during her incredible decade-long stay.

Houghton has been the only player ever to wear the No.6 since our professionalisation back in 2014.

Our new signing wore No.11 throughout her seven seasons at Arsenal while she often is No.9 when representing the Netherlands in international football.

A full list of the squad’s 2024/25 numbers can be found here.

Fans can now purchase our 2024/25 PUMA home kit with Miedema’s name and number on the back from the Etihad Stadium and Arndale Centre City Stores as well as mancity.com/shop.
