Vivianne Miedema is expecting an ‘amazing’ unveiling event this weekend as she gets set to meet the fans who will cheer her name from this coming season onwards.

Miedema joined City in July 2024, signing a three-year-deal having made the move from Arsenal where she’d spent seven seasons.

Miedema, the record goalscorer in Barclays Women’s Super League history, is relishing wearing the sky blue in 2024/25 and beyond.

Her first official duties as a City player will see her introduced to the fans on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium and it’s something she is really looking forward to.

“I’m really excited to attend the event and I can’t wait to see the incredible Manchester City supporters for the first time since signing for the Club,” said the team’s new No.6.

“Every time I played at the Joie Stadium in the past as an away player, I felt their passionate backing for the home team and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them as one of their own next season.

“Their support will be crucial in helping us achieve our goals domestically and on the European stage so seeing as many of them as possible on Sunday will be amazing.

“I really think this is the place to be right now at this stage of my career and I want to thank everyone connected to the Club for the warm welcome they’ve given me already.

“See you Sunday!”

Miedema – along with men’s signing Savinho - will be introduced to supporters for the first time at the Etihad Stadium’s West Reception on Sunday.

The unveiling event will begin at 14:00pm (UK), with the players set to arrive on stage at approximately 15:00pm (UK).

It is free to attend and free parking will be available on Blue Carpark.

Accessible parking will be available on Yellow Carpark for Blue Badge holders.

You will be able to purchase food and drinks outside West Reception, but fans are also welcome to bring their own water bottles and refreshments should they wish to. Fans are encouraged to wear suncream.

For fans who cannot attend in person, the event will be streamed on the official Man City app, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and X.
