With the pressure on for most, the final match of the group stage is often when an international tournament truly comes to life.
Let’s take a look at how our players performed this week...
ENGLAND
There was minimal pressure on England on Friday night, having already won two from two and guaranteed their place in the final eight.
However, a team with ambitions as lofty as Sarina Wiegman’s side rarely rest on their laurels.
Five City players were involved as they defeated Northern Ireland 5-0 in Southampton, even with the manager absent due to a positive COVID-19 test.

Lauren Hemp, Keira Walsh and Ellen White played from the start, while Alex Greenwood and Chloe Kelly were second half substitutes.
Ellie Roebuck was an unused substitute while Demi Stokes was unavailable through injury.
England will now face Spain in Brighton at 20:00 (BST) on Wednesday for a place in the semi-finals.
NORWAY
Julie Blakstad‘s team are out after a 1-0 defeat in the winner-takes-all meeting with Austria in Brighton.
Nicole Billa’s 37th minute consigned two-time tournament winners Norway to third place in Group A, after a victory over Northern Ireland and heavy defeat to England.
Blakstad played 82 minutes in her usual progressive left-back role before she was replaced by forward Sophie Haug as Norway chased the two goals required.
SPAIN
Leila Ouahabi started and fellow summer signing Laia Aleixandri came off the bench as Spain beat Denmark 1-0 to finish second in Group B behind Germany.
Ouahabi played just the first 45 minutes from her full-back position, whereas Aleixandri was involved for the final 10 minutes in Brentford.
The winning goal came from the head of Marta Cardona in the 90th minute. Now Spain will face England on Wednesday night.
SWEDEN
Filippa Angeldahl was the star of the show for Sweden in a rout of Portugal in Leigh on Sunday.
The highest ranked nation in the tournament hit five to guarantee top spot in Group C thanks to a superior goal difference over defending champions Netherlands.
Two of those five came from the right foot of Angeldahl. The first was an instinctive poke in reaction to a dropped cross from Portugal’s goalkeeper Patricia Morais and the second was a low curling effort into the bottom corner.
Sweden will now wait until Monday night to find out which of Iceland, Belgium or Italy they will face in Friday’s quarter-final.
