An incredible 18 members of Gareth Taylor’s squad are involved across the break for their respective nations at senior or youth level, with UEFA Nations League finals, Olympic qualifying, Pinatar Cup and international friendlies all on the agenda.

UEFA Nations League

Three of City’s international contingent are involved in the UEFA Nations League, taking part in the finals and relegation / promotion play-offs.

Kerstin Casparij and Laia Aleixandri face off in the semi-finals, knowing they’re both just two wins from being crowned champions.

Filippa Angeldahl, meanwhile, will be aiming to help Sweden negotiate a two-legged play-off to decide if they’ll remain in League A.

Olympic Qualifying

Pinatar Cup

Sandy MacIver has been called up to represent Scotland at the latest edition of the Pinatar Cup, an annual invitational tournament held in Spain.

A victory over the Philippines would see them face one of Slovenia or Finland in the final.

International Friendlies

Finally, six members of the City squad will turn out for England in two friendly encounters against Austria and Italy respectively in Spain.

A further five youngsters are also set to represent the Lionesses at Under-23 and Under-19 level across the international break.
