Yui Hasegawa was one of seven players to join City ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, making the move from West Ham United after a strong maiden season in the Barclays Women’s Super League with the Hammers the year before.
Since then, she’s made 22 appearances in sky blue and has made a huge impact at the heart of Gareth Taylor’s engine room with impressive and assured performances.
The Japan international settled into life quickly in Manchester by netting on her debut in a 4-0 win over Leicester City in September 2022 – and has only tasted defeat once in 15 league games for the Club.
And she’s certain to play a key role as City battle for the WSL title by the season’s end.
With five matches remaining this term, we sit only three points behind league leaders Manchester United and the boss is expecting more ‘twists and turns’ before the curtain falls.
Captured by our Club photographer, Hasegawa tested her air hockey and bowling skills in Manchester at Tenpin Bowling in Printworks.
