Head Coach

Andrée Jeglertz was appointed Manchester City Head Coach ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, taking the reins following the conclusion of Euro 2025.

The Swede took charge of Denmark at the tournament and joined the Blues after a two-year stint with the Danes.

Having spent over 20 years in management in both the men’s and women’s game, Jeglertz moves to the Joie Stadium with a wealth of experience.

A defender in his playing days, our Head Coach featured for Malmö FF in the Swedish top flight as well as turning out for IFK Trelleborg, Umeå FC, IFK Hässleholm and Gimonäs CK. He also earned three caps for the Swedish U-21 national team.

Jeglertz has an impressive track record in women’s football, with his most successful period coming at Umeå.

A two-time winner of the Damallsvenskan Manager of the Year, Jeglertz also won the UEFA Women’s Cup – later the Champions League - with the team in 2004 and led them to a further two finals in 2007 and 2008.

He also won four successive league titles and the Swedish Cup during that time, before a spell in men’s football in charge of Djurgårdens IF in 2009.

Further roles at Umeå in 2017 and Linköpings FC would follow at club level, as well as a six-year stint in charge of the Finland national team, who he helped qualify for Euro 2013 after being named Finnish Manager of the Year in 2012.

The latest chapter in Jeglertz’s managerial career brings him to City, where he hopes to make  a mark with his philosophy of free-flowing, attacking football while also developing some of the exciting talent in the squad.
