Goalkeeper coach
Former professional goalkeeper Restrepo boasts a wealth of experience in the game, predominantly from his time in the United States as both a player and coach.
After a successful stint in US College football, Restrepo signed professional terms at Columbian side America de Cali, before returning to his native Venezuela in December 2011 to join Deportivo Tachira.
Moving to Tampa Bay Rowdies in 2013, he would spend the rest of his playing career in the United States – a brief spell at Venezuela’s Metropolitanos aside - before hanging up the gloves at Austin Bold in 2020.
Remaining in Texas, he would become Academy Goalkeeper coach at Austin FC soon after, before moving to DC United as the Club’s Head of Goalkeeping.
A spell at Bay FC, once again as Head of Goalkeeping, would follow in December 2023, the final chapter of Diego’s career before moving to City.
He joins the Club as Goalkeeper Coach and, aside from his duties at the City Football Academy, is also part of the Welsh National Team’s staff.
