Bio
Powerful, versatile striker
Jaden’s development through the Academy since signing aged eight saw him rewarded with a scholarship in July 2022.
Capable across the front line, with a natural ability to link the play as well as score goals, the 2022/23 campaign saw Jaden progress to the Under-18s squad.
Following a season hindered by injury but included highlights across the U18 Premier League, Premier League 2 and FA Youth Cup, Heskey returned to the Under-18s squad as captain for the 2023/24 season.
The striker made 36 appearances, in various positions, across the Under-18s and EDS competitions and scored 11 goals.
Heskey played 90 minutes and scored in City’s 4-0 triumph over Leeds United in the FA Youth Cup final at the Etihad in May 2024.
Ahead of the 2024/25 season, Heskey travelled on the first-team pre-season tour to the United States. He used the experience to be a key influence in the EDS squad, and definitely delivered as a key member of the PL2 winning squad, totalling 32 appearances in all competitions.
As the captain for the EDS in 2025/26, he’ll guide the team over the course of the campaign as we look to defend the title.
Aged 19, Heskey, alongside his brother Reigan, made his competitive senior debut for Pep Guardiola’s side during City’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup.
