Max signed for Manchester City in October 2021 from Southampton’s Academy.
A composed central defender, Alleyne is comfortable playing off either foot with his assured style of play meaning he can also be deployed in defensive midfield.
His debut campaign in sky blue ended with an Under-18 Premier League title after 16 appearances.
Alleyne progressed to the EDS side for the 2023/24 season where he made 19 appearances in the Premier League 2. Part way through the campaign Alleyne was also on the bench during City’s Club World Cup win in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
After a spell on the sideline through injury at the end of the 2023/24 season, Max was back fit and ready to fight for silverware in the 2024/25 campaign. And he definitely did that, playing a key role as City lifted the PL2 title.
He made 28 appearances across the Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy in his best season in Blue. And also played a key role in City’s UEFA Youth League campaign that saw us bow out in the quarter-finals of the prestigious European competition.
Alleyne began the 2025/26 season on loan at Championship outfit Watford. He totalled 16 league appearances, including a four-game winning run, before the defender was recalled by City in January.
