U18 LEAD COACH
After Ben Wilkinson moved up to become the Lead Coach of City’s Elite Development Squad in the summer of 2024, German coach Oliver Reiss joined City in July 2024 as the new Lead Coach of our Under-18s.
Reiss joins the Club with a wealth of experience coaching at Academy level. After just over a decade coaching young talent at Hertha Berlin, Reiss’s role at City is his first outside of his native Germany.
He will now be looking to help City’s youngsters develop alongside the competitive nature the Under-18 Premier League North, FA Youth Cup and Under-18 Premier League Cup bring to our schedule in 2024/25.
It was an incredible first season at City for Reiss. His team won 21 successive games to help us lift the Under-18 Premier League North title.
And his team also progressed to the final of the FA Youth Cup, also an incredible feat for the German’s first time coaching in English football.
He will continue his role as the Under-18s Lead Coach in 2025/26.
