COMMANDING SHOT STOPPER
Oliver joined Manchester City in our Junior Academy at Under-8s.
A commanding presence in goal and has a confidence in his style of play beyond his years, Whatmuff’s distribution and shot stopping are also strong elements to his game.
After signing his scholarship with the Academy in the summer of 2024, Whatmuff was an integral figure for the Under-18s throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
He made a total of 30 appearances in all competitions. Perhaps his most notable was against FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Youth League when Whatmuff saved a penalty before converting the final spot kick to send City through to the Round of 16.
For the 2025/26 season, the towering shot stopper will be hoping to gain valuable first-team experience at National League outfit Rochdale.
