City’s future has come to the fore this week with the U15s showing off their trophy at the Etihad, Braydon meeting Ilkay and Maffeo and Garcia starring at Old Trafford.

First up, City’s U15s were keen to parade their Premier League International Trophy won earlier this month. The Blues beat the likes of Arsenal, Ajax, Newcastle United and Swansea City to the title.

Captain Tommy Doyle was clearly delighted, stating: “We want to be the best team around and this shows that we are.

“Playing different teams from across the world shows that we can be the best in the world.”

Then came Ilkay Gundogan‘s birthday. Although the German international turned 26 on Monday, he wasn’t to be the star of the day with Braydon Bent paying him a visit and singing him a song!

Pablo Maffeo and Aleix Garcia, both 19, started for City agaiinst Manchester United on Wednesday night. Despite the 1-0 loss, Maffeo was happy with the way the side played.

He said: “We showed personality and the result is bad but we showed we can play in big stadiums.”

As well as that, there’s plenty of training footage and Pep’s press conference ahead of City’s trip to West Brom!
