City kicked off another busy week by serving up a superb display away at Arsenal last Sunday, recording a fine 3-0 win at the Emirates.
The players were then put through their paces in training on Monday, and we were boosted by the welcome return from injury of Sergio Aguero and John Stones.
Ahead of our Carabao Cup trip to Oxford, we heard the views of women’s boss Nick Cushing who recalled helping oversee the early development of stars such as Phil Foden, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Tommy Doyle during his time as City’s Under-9s manager.
There was another good night’s work at the Kassam Stadium as a 3-1 win earned us a Carabao Cup semi-final tie with Manchester United.
It was also a big week for our youngsters as Gareth Taylor’s Academy charges got our FA Youth Cup campaign up and running with an impressive 3-0 win over Swansea at the Academy Stadium.
Finally, the week was rounded off with manager Pep Guardiola’s pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s league clash with Leicester while the squad rounded off preparations in training
