The Force was definitely with City’s Champions as the players stepped up preparations ahead of Sunday’s Etihad clash against Huddersfield
Following our penultimate home fixture with the Terriers, the City squad will be presented with the Premier League trophy in front of a packed Etihad.
But before then there is a job to do against David Wagner’s side with City requiring just two more goals to break Chelsea’s all-time Premier League goal-scoring record of 102 which was set in the 2009/10 campaign.
And, fittingly on May 4th which has become firmly established in the calendar as Star Wars Day, the Blues tuned up in style at the City Football Academy with some Training Wars of their own.
David Silva, Raheem Sterling and Yaya Toure were amongst the City storm-troopers ensuring their focus was razor-sharp ahead of the weekend.
And with the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia just over a month away there was no shortage of star-gazers. England manager Gareth Southgate was amongst interested onlookers with former City star Frank Lampard also present at the CFA.
