With Premier League 2 leaders West Ham losing earlier on in the day, City’s Elite Development Squad (EDS) came into the tie knowing victory would move us top of the table.
Coming into the tie off the back of a convincing 3-1 triumph over Manchester United in our previous outing, Brian Barry-Murphy‘s men were aiming to secure a fourth successive victory.
However, Chelsea stood in our way and were looking to kickstart their PL2 campaign with all three points on a chilly night in Kingston upon Thames.
