Watch how the drama unfolded as Manchester City broke new ground across the 2023/24 campaign.

Following our iconic Treble success the previous season, Pep Guardiola’s side entered the new term looking to make more history by becoming the first men’s team in English football history to win four straight top flight titles.

In true Blues fashion, what transpired across nine months was a blend of drama, euphoria, highs and lows in all competitions.

An opening day 3-0 win over Burnley ignited a six consecutive league winning streak provided evidence that we showed no signs of slowing down.

We also won our maiden UEFA Super Cup in August when beating Sevilla on penalties in Greece.

However, City won only three of our 10 assignments in all competitions across September and into December as the physical and mental toll of winning the title, Champions League and FA Cup the previous year started to creep in.

This also saw us exit the League Cup at the hands of Newcastle at St James’ Park.

On the European front, though, we were still at our scintillating best by maintaining 100% record in Group G which included RB Leipzig, Young Boys and Red Star Belgrade.

A win at Luton put us back on track in the league, but in our last match ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, Crystal Palace fought from two-goals down to draw at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola’s men set off for the tournament in Saudi Arabia where we lifted another major honour under the Catalan thanks to a 3-0 semi-final win over Urawa Red Diamonds and 4-0 triumph over Fluminense in the showpiece.

That success then provided the springboard needed write the Club’s name in English football folklore.

From our remaining Premier League matches from a 3-1 win at Everton on 27 December, we remained unbeaten across 19 straight games – drawing only three – to set up a grand finale against West Ham at the Etihad.

There were successes too in the FA Cup which saw us advance into the final at Wembley Stadium, but there was to be a twist in the Champions League where we once again met Real Madrid in the semi-finals.

After a thrilling 3-3 draw in the first-leg at the Santiago Bernabeu, a 4-3 penalties defeat at the Etihad following a 1-1 draw saw us exit the competition at the last-four stage.

Onto the Hammers, though, and a chance at history as we had our Premier League fate in our own hands.

Phil Foden lit the blue touch paper with a trademark rifle into the top corner before he doubled our lead in the 18th minute.

Mohammed Kudus pulled a goal back before half-time to provide some nerves, but Rodrigo proved to be the man for the big occasion once again as he restored our lead – and with it – a fourth straight English top-flight crown.
