The England under-17 international has been out since August but is hoping he could make his return for the Elite Development Squad before the end of the month.
Early in the season, he suffered a stress fracture to his left foot which initially ruled him out but then suffered a further blow in January setting back his return even longer.
The 17-year-old has remained positive throughout and given his support to his team-mates in what has been a difficult campaign for Brian Barry-Murphy’s side.
And the midfielder has taken the positives from his time away from playing but is now itching to get back into action.
“I’ve played it a few times in my head, I’m just excited to run on the pitch,” he said. “I just love football and I’m just excited.
“At first it was crushing. I’m at the start of my career but as I progress, it’s promised that I’m going to get injured.
“I don’t see it as a negative, I see it as a positive to develop my body and to get back fitter and stronger before the injury.
“Every game I’m supporting my team-mates and doing my best to support them and give them what they need.”
