So much so, he gatecrashed lifelong Man City fan Shirley Leonard’s 50th birthday bash to surprise her with flowers and cake.

Early last Monday – a day in which the pride, solidarity and love in the city shone through - the City team travelled across Manchester to give thanks to the fans for their unwavering support, explaining that this Club is simply nothing without them.

Yaya turned up at Shirley’s front door; then sat and had a chat on the couch with her and her family.
