People say penalties are a lottery, but Yaya Toure’s perfect record of 16 taken, 16 scored begs to differ.
The big Ivorian has been rock solid from the spot during his time with the Blues - his latest in the shoot-out against Wolves - and he took time out to provide a spot-kick masterclass.
Toure said: “What you have to do is just take your time.
“I look for the keeper to move first before I shoot.
“The stature of the keeper is a factor too. Some keepers are very tall, you have to hit the ball a bit harder. When they are a bit shorter you have to choose one side... sometimes it works sometimes not, so far I’ve been lucky!”
Toure also revealed a successful penalty is not just about the strike, adding: “I never look at the keeper when I go back, because otherwise the keeper can see your eyes and how you are thinking.”
