Rodri has described Manchester City as a ‘small family’ as he revealed how welcome he has been to feel since his arrival at the start of July.
The Spanish midfielder, who made his first appearance for the Club against West Ham United in China, has struck up a good relationship with his new team-mates, something he thinks is particularly important for any young player.

“I arrived to a small family,” he explained.
“The people are very nice, they introduced me to the team and took interest in my needs.
“For a young player, that’s very important. I have a great relationship with all of them.”
The 23-year-old has started both games so far in pre-season, looking particularly assured against Wolves and is confident more game time will help him adjust to what Pep Guardiola wants from him.
“I have spoken with Pep, but not about expectations,” he added.
“Only about football concepts and tactics, the things I need on the pitch and what he wants from me.
“And by playing matches I will learn and adapt to this new way of playing.”
