The 17-year-old joined the Academy aged four and is the grandson of two City greats, Glyn Pardoe and Mike Doyle.

A Blue through and through, Doyle began the 2018/19 season in the treatment room, having suffered a broken metatarsal whilst representing England U17s in the European Championships last summer.

Recovery complete, he went on to play 17 times for the EDS and U18 sides, helping the latter reach the FA Youth Cup final and lift the Premier League Cup.

The midfielder has also been invited to train with Pep Guardiola’s first team on several occasions.

Here, he recalls his earliest days at the Academy, including a cherished first Manchester derby victory, as well as the influence of his grandfathers, who he admits are a constant source of inspiration.
