Manchester City manager Crystal Palace will pose a stern test at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
The boss admitted he’s watched plenty of the Eagles’ matches and has been impressed with what he’s seen from Alan Pardew’s side.
“[I expect] a tough game,” he said.
“I have had time to see many of their games, it will be tough. They have a coach with a lot of experience in England.
“They play a lot with Benteke, the second ball to the wingers – Townsend and Zaha – and they are fast and good one against one. Cabaye is an exceptional player. We know the situation.”
Palace are currently 16th in the Premier League but the Catalan does not expect that to have any bearing on the fixture and says his side cannot take anything for granted.
“I never look at position in the table. I try to analyse what they do, especially when they play good.
“Every game is completely different. Maybe tomorrow they make the best performance ever, or maybe not. It does not depend on what position they are in right now.”
Pep also reported he has no fresh injury concerns after the international break and informed journalists he is looking forward to Gabriel Jesus’ arrival in January, after another strong showing from the youngster whilst with Brazil.
