Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is confident Manchester City will enjoy the 2017/18 Premier League campaign.
Speaking at the first press conference of his second season, the Catalan told journalists of his optimism prior to the opening day clash with Brighton.
Put to him that the Blues are title favourites, Pep replied: “Last season at my first press conference we were favourites, so nothing has changed.
“I was confident then too.”
The manager also confirmed that the Seagulls’ clash has come too early for new recruit Benjamin Mendy and the recovering Ilkay Gundogan, who will both miss out due to injury.
Meanwhile, Guardiola spoke of his pleasure at the Club’s transfer dealing’s this summer and refused to rule out making any more additions before the window closes on 31 August.
