After a ferocious match at the Etihad, Pep sat down in front of the media to discuss the win over Arsenal who were able to make it interesting.
Although it was a feisty contest, City always looked at arms length to Arsenal with an onslaught of attack.
“We created a lot of chances. Against Arsenal, the game is never over. But considering we played a CL game, we were so strong.
“We won. We deserved it. Three more points. My wish now is the players come back healthy from the international break.
“We can be more solid. We play well and the players again did an amazing performance. We are so happy.”
Alas, Guardiola knows that this win means nothing unless City are able to capatalise on the upcoming months. Last season, November and December proved to be difficult months for City and Pep does not want a repeat.
“Last season against title contenders, we were able to win just twice. Coming into November, we have already beaten Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal.
“All I know is everybody can beat us. It doesn’t matter what happened in the past. You can win the CL and lose the day after.”
It’s never over until it’s over.
