Pep Guardiola is considering a number of players to fill the void left by Nicolas Otamendi’s enforced absence against Leicester City.
Suspension rules the Argentine out of the King Power clash and the manager has revealed it could pave the way for Vincent Kompany to return to the side.
“I have something in mind to replace Otamendi,” Guardiola said.
“We have Mangala, maybe Kompany can come back. Kyle [Walker] can play there.”
Having suffered a 4-2 defeat at the hands of the Foxes last season, the Catalan is well aware of the threat posed by Claude Puel’s men and is expecting another tough test.
“Leicester has a lot of talent,” he added.
“Vardy and Mahrez - they make chances in three or four seconds. They are very quick.
“It’s a very similar team to a year ago.”
